I started working as a senior developer for ValuBond, an online bond trading platform, in August of 2003. Duties included design and development of new features, maintenance of the existing ASP and VB 6.0 code, as well as occasional stored procedure development.
In February 2005, I took over lead development of the project. The decision was made to migrate the codebase to the Microsoft .NET framework. I implemented a session sharing solution so that we could move the required functionality to the .NET framework in stages, moving each module when it needed major new functionality added, thereby getting the benefit of new functionality instead of simply a rewrite of existing code, as well as the ability to fall back to the old codebase in the event that something did not work as expected.
I have been working in a contract position remotely since August of 2006, dealing more directly with several of the major customers to integrate our solution into the look and feel of their own websites. The "skinning" of the application using XSLT has made it very flexible with respect to being able to change the look and feel to match the requirements of the customer.
